The team at the EFS department makes it a daily habit to remain up to date with current events in Aruba and in any other country that may have an effect on the Aruban economy. Every industry today aims to be data-driven by making decisions based on actual data rather than intuition or observation alone. The team at EFS can assist you with collecting data, extracting patterns and facts from that data, and using those facts to make interpretations and insights that influence decision-making.

In-depth analysis of available public data can be provided with the aim to give insight into local and regional developments and trends; for example but not limited to data from the Central Bank of Aruba (CBA), Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), International Monetary Fund (IMF), Aruba Tourism Authority (ATA), and Aruba Hotel and Tourism Association (AHATA). We can also produce/collect data to a certain extent when this is not already available. These services are not limited to Aruba but can also have a regional and international scope.

Feasibility Studies

When you are considering launching a new project or expanding your business, a feasibility study is a crucial step in the preparation phase to determine the viability of the business idea before proceeding with the development and execution. Our team at EFS can assist you by assessing the strengths and needs of the project, but also the weaknesses in order to create opportunities for improvement. Financial modeling and analysis are an essential part of assessing financial feasibility. This will allow you to build a robust business case to present to potential investors and financiers. This service is mostly supportive to the services of the Corporate Finance and Project Management department.

Economic Impact Studies

The EFS department can also conduct Economic Impact Studies for its clients and projects. Such a study may be a requirement by the government for the issuance of a long lease property. Especially for large projects and investments, this may be an important tool to illustrate how much a project or business contributes to the local economy.

Business Planning & Evaluation

We offer guidance with the setup of a business plan to new or existing businesses. As a financial institution, we know from experience what other lenders and investors are searching for, making our business plan an effective one for financing requests and other purposes. A key element of business planning and evaluation is financial modeling, which forms the basis for financial projections and analysis. We have knowledge of the market and the economy and the necessary resources to assist you with the planning and evaluation of your business.

Perhaps you are contemplating selling your business, buying a business, or leveraging your company’s value. Our team has the experience in carrying out financial and commercial analysis and assessing your company’s economic value.

Privatization/Independence Support

The EFS team can be of service with the planning of privatization/independence and guiding the process. AIB can help governments decide upon privatization structures and advice on how to go about this process by acting as a facilitator between all stakeholders. In the past, AIB assisted the government of Aruba with exploring the best structural option to privatize the Landslaboratorium, given the priorities of different parties involved and the social importance of such an entity’s functioning. EFS also structured and guided the independence process of the Aruba Tourism Authority.
